Extraction: A concrete is solvent extracted from the flowers (picked before dawn to preserve scent), and the absolute is obtained by alcohol separation. A second essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the absolute.

Aromatic Description: Warm, rich, heady, floral, exotic.

Benefits: Intoxicating, uplifting, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antiseptic, expectorant, euphoric, aphrodisiac, warming, balancing, calms nervous system, has an uplifting (even euphoric) effect on emotions. Antiseptic, antispasmodic, antidepressant.

Blend Classification: Enhancer/Equalizer/Modifier

Blends well with: bergamot, clary sage, geranium, grapefruit, lemon, patchouli, orange, rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and most others

Common Uses: Used for all skin types, especially dry and sensitive skin. Excellent antidepressant and for nervous disorders. Boosts self-confidence, helps relax and soothe. Also used for muscular spasm, coughs, hoarseness, and laryngitis. Depression, anger, anxiety, apathy, frigidity, impotence, nervous tension, stress, coughs, dry skin, exhaustion, menstrual problems, to ease period and labour pains, PMS, wrinkles, sensitive-dry-or mature skin, all skin types.

How to use: Bath, compress, diffuse, massage, perfume, room fragrance, skin-care preparations

Safety Information: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing. An abortifacient (induces labour), avoid during pregnancy. Apparently, some may experience an allergic reaction to Jasmine essential oil.

Cautions:  Avoid in allergic and inflammatory skin conditions. Avoid during pregnancy. Please use this oil in moderation. Do not take any oils internally. Do not apply undiluted oils, absolutes or other concentrated essences onto the skin.

If you are pregnant, epileptic, have liver damage, cancer or any other medical problem, use oils only under the proper guidance of a certified Aroma therapist. Keep out of the reach of children.
